"Mama, when are
you home? I'll give you a rose." wrote a 7 years old boy, who is currently
sitting in second grade of elementary school. These sentences are like poetry
because he often wrote it in his school notebooks. No matter whether the book
was to write the language lessons or math. Even, just these sentences that he
is able to write when there is a writing lesson. These sentences describe the
boy longing for his beloved mama.
At other times, he told
his grandmother's husband on the phone, "Grandpa, come here. So, in this
house there are men. Because I've always lived in the house where no men
existed" Of course, the men here meant adult men.
Currently, the boy and
his sister lived in their eldery grandmother's house. Their grandmother's
husband was living separately (not separated / divorced) with his grandmother
since more than 2 years ago, long before the boy went with his grandmother. So,
when he went with his grandmother, no men living at home with them. the
condition is exactly the same, when the two were still with their mama, no men
live in their mama's house.
Who's that boy? Is he
an orphan, who previously was fatherless? Neither of it. They still have papa
and mama. How the story so he must live with his grandmother?
The boy and his sister
were born from the same mother. A mother who has a view of freedom. a view
which is currently divert the population of their country., do not know since
when this view enters the country. By the view of freedom, everyone is free to
do anything as long as it does not interfere with the freedom of others. They
are free to have intercourse with anyone. They also free whether to marry or
not, regardless of whether the results of their relationship, give birth to a
child or not. The important thing, the woman realized that if they have a child
then the woman will take care of the child.
Both are the result of
this view. Their biological father is different. Their similarities, both of
their fathers did not want to marry their mother. Be they live with their
mother. From birth until the age of 7 and 4 years old, they do not live with
their father.
Actually, their mother,
is very fond of them. But, life is not always in line with expectations,
including their mother's life. Their mother who likes to drink liquor, becomes
drunk more, when problems comes. Because they live only three of them, their
mother took them while drunk. They come to the club and watch their mothers
drinking with their mother's friends. They walked behind their mother who was
drunk and walking home. They also have to go walking behind their mother drunk,
running back and forth aimlessly.
Until one day, the
police found that the two were alone in the street, without the company of
their mother. Apparently, their mother had left them in the street. The police
took and drove to the their mother's house. But their mother was not there,
even after waiting for a while. Finally, they were escorted to the house of
their grandmother who lived alone. Since then they lived with their grandmother
and even now their mother did not show up again.
Only two questions,
which exist in the boy's mind. like "Why, mama left them?" and
"why no adult male in their home?"
Sometimes there are
people who say that life is a choice and what we get depends on the choice we.
But it does not apply to a child. Sometimes a child does not have a choice.
Like the story above. With freedom, adults are free to choose. But with that
freedom, too, a child is forced to not have a choice.
